Delay during PXE Boot, IP-Con
After further testing I can report that the parent issue has indeed been
resolved upstream. The subsequent lockups are related to the nvidia
module, not the reported issue. Thus, upgrading the kernel will solve
the issue.

again, so the upstream does *not* fix the issue. I can't readily find

After two days of testing, I am happy to report that the upstream rc7
version indeed fixes the freezing issue. It still hangs up on
suspend/resume, but that's likely unrelated. As I am now using the
upstream kernel I'm not sure whether I should report that as ubuntu bug.

Whenever I start shotwell, it spends ~1 minute writing metadata to
files, and during this time the program is unusable. I am attaching a

I finally managed to get the problem fixed. The issue is not with the
iwlwifi modulce, it is with ubuntu's new dns resolver. I edited
/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and commented out the
dns=dnsmasq line. From then on, all problems have disappeared. I am

problems. However, what does happen still is that the connection freezes
-- nothing comes in/out although the connection is established. After

1) Tested with Hardy and backported 1.2.25, worked like a charm.
2) Upgraded to Intrepid (iwlagn 1.3.27ks), works well enough. I had to
rmmod/modprobe iwlagn a couple of times because the connection sometimes drops
after prolonged use and cannot be re-established. After rmmod/modprobe
everything
One of the updates (unfortunately, not sure which one) corrected this
problem for me -- the microphone on the camera is now working flawlessly
in Hardy.

Booting live CD now prompts for a language, but not for keyboard
variant. I would, for example, prefer English language with a Slovene
