I've noticed that in Dagnachew's output the power management has changed
to 1 while his acoustic management setting is 128 after changing
etc/hdparm.conf.
My disk is still spinning down after adding apm_battery=128.
Can it be that some disks interpret a power managemen

laptop. I have an ASUS M4A785TD motherboard, which uses the same codec
(VT1708S). On boot up with Kernel 2.6.35-22 (newest kernel of 10.10) I get no
sound off my headphone connected to the front panel. With Kernel 2.

openoffice.org-filter-binfilter was not installed.
but i get this error when i try a "update-manager -d"...
after completely uninstalling openoffice, the update is now in progress!
