I can confirm that release "3.38.4-1ubuntu3~21.04.1" of "gnome-shell" and
"gnome-shell-common" packages has solved the issue for me, tested on kernel
5.11.0-19-generic on my Lenovo Yoga 7 laptop.
The fix solved the issue in "Ubuntu on X.org" but also, and more importantly,
on standard Wayl

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but I've just realized this
isn't a bug: I had a VirtualBox virtual machine running, it grabbed the
keyboard so locking the host (ubuntu) screen (by just locking it, or also by
suspending/resuming) always results in the unability to input the pas

Binary package hint: nautilus
When I open with Nautilus a link pointing to a regular directory on another
partition, or a directory mounted through fuse, sometimes Nautilus refuses to
create new files in these directories, as if I didn't have permission to; but
trying with
Sorry, not a BUG: just checked the contents of the stated file, and foun it
contained the HTML from my DSP, asking for registration upon fisrt access to my
new DSL account!
So just deleted those files, and now update-manager works fine.

Hi,
'compiz --replace' didn't work (no display), so I had to kill -9 gnome-session
also this time.
Applications running at the time of the freeze were:
- Firefox
- Chromium
- Thunderbird
No LibreOffice applic

No duplicate of bug #728101 for me: it doesn't happen (only) when closing lid,
but also just leaving the laptop alone for enough time; it happens to me 1-2
times per day, after the upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04.

las week I upgraded ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04, and then installed 2 new hard drives
and built a new md0 RAID1 array by means of mdadm, defining also a new
mdadm.conf with just one line for md0, and a new entry in fstab for the mount
point of md0.

Sorry, forgot to mention the actual message:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
It happens as first output after the initial "Starting up...", with a timestamp
around 1sec.
