I think that some of the modules listed in /lib/modules/2.6.35-xx-
generic/modules.dep does not probe properly.
The MODULES=dep in /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf I believe that
only makes update-initramfs to select the modules before including them
in the kernel load.

I've installed Ubuntu GNU/Linux 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) in 5 computers and 3
of them are affected by this bug:
a) A clean installation: shutdown or restart menu options are ignored. In a
terminal, work both commands: "sudo halt" and "sudo reboot".
b) An upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10: shutdown or restart me
- keyboard and/or mouse(*) freezing
- Mouse(*) & keyboard freeze at logon screen
This affected me while upgrading from Ubuntu 9.10 to Ubuntu 10.04, and I don't
remember which package was installing at that moment. The only solution I found
to complete the upgrade was to [Reset] the computer and

I booted Ubuntu 10.04 Live-USB (desktop) on an Acer Aspire One, then I open a
console/terminal window and run:

This is the result:

Actually Ubuntu is a great representative of GNU systems.
A lot of software is not selected to be installed as default in Ubuntu
because of their bugs, then which could be the problem to select another
PDF viewer as default until the bug is fixed? There are sof

Not everybody is native english speaker, and I don't understand OTOH.
Another suggestion is to remove Evince from the default Ubuntu installation and
put another PDF viewer.
