I just upgraded to 22.04, and was unpleasantly surprised to see ~/snap
as a new directory in HOME. If there is no solution for this issue I
will be switching back to Fedora.

I arrived at work this morning to find a frozen workstation with a full
disk. This bug was one of two relevant search results, so I'm

Noob to Ubuntu... I have a similar problem with a U.S. Robotics USR5637
modem. lsusb and usb-devices both show the device, and dmesg shows it
being recognized, however it does not show up in /dev as ttyACM*.
Running 21.10 on a Raspberry Pi 4. The device works as expected with
20.04.3 LTS also on

This is an older release, on older (then-compatible) hardware. I cannot
sign in with my account for ESR support because I cannot install it.
Replying with the email account I signed up with free the 3-device Ubuntu
Advantage limit.
