- The automatic size that the installer chose for my /boot partition is 704M
(no questions asked).
- When upgrading to 22.04 from 20.04 I had to manually remove old kernels. Just
any kernel update on Jammy nowadays makes

Nothing new to report. Until Canonical puts the dell-uart-backlight
kernel module back into the distribution, and fixes the
brightness/backlight code, we'll have to use xrandr to do it manually...
xrandr_brightness.sh, set properties to "execute as a program", right-
click and select "run

in touch with the upstream kernel developers..?

I installed the kernel on my RockPro64 with the steps mentioned by
Matthew, it booted normally without the testparam from the report.

From all the build logs I can see that "-fno-omit-frame-pointer" was
only in the builds of amd64, arm64 and riscv64. It was not picked up in

I don't use Ubuntu kernels; build my own mainline but work on kernel
issues in mainline and Debian. I tested 144..157 length (interestingly
although arm64 professes to support 2048 characters the kernel messages
are truncated at around 1000 so don't show the entire thing
