Today's hirsute (Lubuntu) daily was written to media using
`sudo dd bs=4M oflag=sync status=progress of=/dev/sdb
if=/de2900/lubuntu_64/hirsute-desktop-amd64.iso`
and it was test booted on a number
It is possible on my PC to install Ubuntu2104beta without encountering
this behaviour and I can successfully install the Ubuntu flavour.
This bug does happen with the Kubuntu beta and I find it is impossible
to install the Kubuntu flavour from the beta iso.

I did that Ubuntu-release -upgrader -p. It asked me to install all available
updates. So I typed sudo apt-get updates. It did 5 lines:

Thanks Brian and also Chris Guiver for related Bug 192173 I tried that and
afterwards I ran the software updater. It still gives me the message about
partial updates with a choice of either clicking on partial upgrade or
continue. From what I have read, others have had problems with both these
We now have a working solution for some models written in Python, but this is
only a workaround.
It would be nice if someone experienced with Linux drivers could work on a
cleaner solution.

Hyper-V Gen 2 Virtual Machine with UEFI Secure Boot (Microsoft UEFI

The GRUB boot menu loads, and I continue with the default option. I

couldn't install any snaps or open Ubuntu Software. I found that if i
reinstalled and did not use ZFS this did not happen. So I think this is
a bug just with the ZFS install version.

Follow-up on my comment #22: I installed a HDMI plug to my Intel NUC.
Then removed the xserver-xorg-video-intel and 20-intel.conf. After
reboot the plug was detected and the visual artifacts were gone.

Trying to boot into the Xorg (or default?) Ubuntu and still experiencing
the same freezing issue.
Every time I try to lock or suspend the screen, everything seems to
freeze. I can still move the mouse but nothing I click on appears to
have any effect. The freeze doesn't seem to resolve given time,

Arctica defaulted back to super high resolution after the beta release
update of 21.04 today. I was once again shown a super tiny login on boot
(onboard buttons are less than 1cm square, smaller than my pinky finger
nail). Its VERY difficult to login on touch devices/tablets without a
