I created a new Focal install with an f2fs volume as root, however grub is
unable to read the volume at all and so cannot get the volume's UUID or read

Also have this problem - on Linux Mint 19.3, XFCE with a Samsung S7.
This worked fine under Mint 17.1 - listing 3500 jpeg files took 20
seconds; usually less. Now when trying to read the same directory which
is now only 2500 jpeg files, both Thunar and PCMANFM take > 20 MINUTES
to generate a file

- 2. Pair a BT device
- 3. Make sure it's marked as Connected, and go to the

python script that checks for the mode, and if you're in the num pad
mode, it evaluates position of tap and sends numpad presses. Works for

It seems that mesa will incorrectly try to use formats advertised by
wl_drm but not zwp_linux_dmabuf_v1.

Many machines have their internal mic connected to the PCH, to make the
internal mic work, the kernel needs those changes. And if you want the
sound to work as before with -43 kernel, you could add "snd-hda-intel
dmic_detect=0" in the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, then the audio

marco crashed with SIGSEGV in INT_cairo_region_num_rectangles()
I can now 100% reproduce this:
1) Run an application to test that the connected USB3 device (a 3D camera)
works (cheese).
It works.
2) Power off the 3D camera.
This produces the well-known dmesg lines.
3) Power on the 3D camera; run cheese again: "No device detected".
4) sudo rmmod xhci_pci
I bought a PCI Express USB 3.0 card to overcome the above... invain.
It performed better, in the sense that the xHCI host controller gets
less often unresponsive and that it just works with iommu enabled in
the BIOS as all the other USB did.
However, I STILL get a reproducible freeze up:

Still needed for development purposes in bionic & focal.
This should've never been removed since lots of embedded/IoT devices
still use it. I remember quite a few tools breaking and thinking this
PiTA would've been sorted out by the next LTS. Fast forward two years
and it's still unassigned.

2. select 'Install Xubuntu Core' from the grub screen
3. go through the installer and await for it to complete after the setting up
of the user account
4. installer reports crash
