I had the same error and I solved it.
First remove ros using the command: sudo apt-get remove ros-*
If you have created any workspace you have to remove that too.
If you have added setup scripts to you .bashrc then remove that too. For that
use the command:
gedit .bashrc
and then remove all

I am running Fedora on AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx

I use kernel parameters idle=nomwait iommu=pt processor.max_cstate=1 set
via grubby.
I am not getting any hangs unless I suspend with lid close or suspend on
