I have experienced this bug on two Ubuntu desktop 12.04.5 x64 systems, copying

I haven't tried other OS versions though.
Steps to reproduce:
Open remote share so it gets gvfs-mounted under ~/.gvfs

cd .gvfs/path/to/remote/samba/share
cp ~/huge_file .

Yes. Upstream hardblocked the ability to run 32 bit images, which is a
serious limitation IMHO. If LXC allows that then I'd be interested to
know the specific challenges that prevent that rather than blocking the
stuff completely.

Ive checked that my connection to the HDAUDIO jack on my motherboard is correct
and that the bios is set to use HDAUDIO and not AC'97. You can see the glitch
in action
I agree completely, but upstream isn't planning to change that in the
near future (especially since this particular configuration is not
only unsupported, but the Debian/Ubuntu package includes a 100%
unapproved-by-upstream patch to make it even possible).

Got errors about britty processing, google told me to reinstall procps.
