sound, could it be that pulseaudio is being bypassed?
Also, will it help if you remove the combine module (i e unclicking the

right away from the live disc.

definition in the KDE Resources) to use "the old KDE Resources

I have the same problem. I have a VPCEE33EL Sony Vaio.
I'm running 10.10.
Touchpad is recognized like PS/2 mouse.
Through forums make it work the touchpad, (I put the i8042.nopnp in the Grub)
but I have no scroll and the other functions.

ubuntu-specific changes made, but I think that this problem has been
fixed, as F11 now goes into fullscreen, and the help issue is a separate
one.

reboot. Umuted, raised levels,redid the log and attached the log
