Reproducible on a fresh lucid 32bit install here too:
- launch u-m from a terminal.
- wait a few hours (Hmm, I wonder if an apt-get update in another terminal
would have also worked?)

Inappropriately appears in Ubuntu Software Ce
This problem is vry sad. Flashplugin (and gnash neither) doesn't
work under Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits . Cannot instal or re-install neither in
the terminal, nor by Synaptic or the updates mannager :-(

I got the ADD button to show up as mentioned in the workaround on #30:
Log into FB in Firefox, then go through the Authorization for FB and the
ADD button appears (it didn't if I wasn't logged into FB in Firefox).

I can confirm this bug as well when running X as root. But it is not a
problem when X is run as any "normal" user.
I did a bit of sleuthing tonight, and the underlying problem is: For a
regular user, when X is initiating:
1. first, the gnome-settings-daemon makes the following call:
/bin/bash /u
