kde network settings & it wont connect upon reboot there are no settings

and used simple-ccsm to set ring switcher as my switcher under the effects tab
and compizconfig-settings-manager to "Allow Mouse Selection" (under Ring
Switcher -> Misc
I had this issue on a laptop running compiz. I found that if I reduced
the RDP screen size by one pixel less than the computers resolution the
issue would go away. So I would setup RDP with 1280 x 799 if my Ubuntu
laptop screen resolution was 1280 x 800. It is a simple fix, if you can

I'm not sure how to reproduce it so can't specifically test it. But
let's assume it's fixed, and I'll reopen if it crashes again.

I can reproduce the problem 100% of time if I open a site that has some
client-side dynamic content, in for example http://www.engadget.com/ 's
case, there's the rolling news box with big images on the top right. If
I have that on-screen in Opera or Firefox and initiate Expose, the
screen flickers

I am seeing the same blue hue problem with linux-restricted-
modules-2.6.24-16-generic. The driver is the Nvidia restricted driver
and the video card is the nVidia Corporation GeForce 8400M GS (rev a1)
in a Dell XPS M1330.
