I did have it unchecked. I didn't feel that I needed power management
due to my main computer being a desktop and not a laptop. What other
functions does that process provide?

My Gateway MX8711, running Ubuntu 8.04 beta is experiencing the same
problem. I've done all the updates, and I'm sure the network manager is
up-to-date. Once I've established one wifi network, I am unable to

Hardy Beta. 90% of the time, I cannot use the keyboard at the login
screen. Mouse works fine at the login screen. I can interact with the
computer with my mouse. Everything seems fine besides the fact that the
keyboard is inoperative.

Did a little more debugging. Found the problem is with network-admin,
not network-manager. From the command line if I do:
gksu network-admin --configure eth0

I've just installed the system using the alternate-install CD as I said
before. Although this doesn't _solve_ the problem (no live CD, and no
card reader), if you want to _bypass_ it:
- Install from the alternate CD. The sdhci module will not interfere with the

Er this isn't going to be addressed in OpenOffice 3.0, the mime info is
missing from shared-mime-info, OpenOffice 2.4 can already open most of
these file types if the shared-mime-info was setup right to begin with.
Unless I am missing something?
