I'm happy to be able to report that this was a false alarm.
The motherboard had ended up in a state after a BIOS upgrade that
rendered usb2.0 unusable. This was not resolved be resting the BIOS to
default settings. It fixed it self after i removed the CMOS battery.

I am running Pidgin 2.2.1 on and Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy).
After setting up irc account(irc.ubuntu.com) and installing libpurple-bin
(1:2.2.1-1ubuntu4.1), I am able to launch irc url.
If I disable irc account, only url fails to launch, no error dialogbox
is displayed.

I am helping someone else with their Toshiba suspend. It is a P205D. It

accomplish a task. First that comes to mind is ntp auto-time-sync. So
could totem share/copy some code or something?

Yes, I tested rhythmbox with MP3s under Gutsy. As I recall I did install
the codecs after the first attempt told me I was missing them; since
sound is completely non-functional I really don't recall now. However, I
tested Hardy with the .ogg files in the samples folder, so that
shouldn't be a probl
