and that was a disaster -- it booted and worked except that the Xorg
system refused to work in any thing other than 800x600 mode (cf.

downloading the tar.bz file from sourcefordge, extracting it, and then
taking the Azureus2.jar from there and replacing my azureus2.jar

I can confirm this comment also. Running 2 19 Inch 1440 x 900 Monitors
on Separate X on Gutsy. One of the monitors has about a 2-3 second lag
on GTK related windows/ menus. The other works fine, however, Compiz
needs to be manually started on bootup for that monitor.

my color depth in /etc/X11/xorg.conf from 16 to 24. Now Firefox no longer

I have a similar problem in gutsy. When I try to unmount my Belkon USB Memory
Stick (1GB, fat16) or my cell phone memory card (SD m2 micro 4GB) nautilus

miracles of miracles, it works.
Because of the bug in the compiz wrapper fo
jdong has suggesd that its a dma issue so i would assume its a kernel
issue cant find the right package

Apparently you can get everything working with Feisty -- at least, 8.41 did
working suspend/resume, one can only assume 8.42 on Feisty will as well
bring the working suspend/resume (and, of course, the "eye candy").

I would like to re-install and the only thing keeping me from doing so
now is the possibility that I could help fix this bug, so if upgrading
has made it so that I can't provide any usefull information please tell
me so that I can re-install.

Seems that if I use qemu-system-x86_64 instead, I do get kqemu support.
Unfortunately Gusty is incredibly unstable as the guest. Even without
kqemu it is not possible to complete an install.
Perhaps on AMD64, qemu-system-x86_64 should be the default.

Sorry for double posting, but I have to add one more thing. When
strictly using the add button from the file list, meaning add file to
playlist, then in file list press the +add button again, it will always
add the correct file to playlist.
