Installing FireFox, cures this Eclipse start up problem... seems like
un noticed module dependancys in Eclipse... or the like, perhaps via Java

Don't think so, as python-sqlite2 provides the Python interface to
SQLite *3*, and e.g. gcompris depends on it. Seems they should be
parallel-installable.

I can reproduce this on a Herd 4 system. When Iog out, it doesn't take
me to KDM, but rather takes me to a black screen. Sometimes, a bit of
the shut down menu will display (but it will never shut down). Ctrl +
Alt + Backspace doesn't work, neither does trying to get to a TTY.

This bug exists, even for PPD files that pass cupstestppd. With a
printer configured for letter paper in cups, openoffice printer paper
size settings are set to A4. This setting must be changed on every
invocation of openoffice.

Apparently, /etc/network/interfaces does not play a role with NM.
A better course of action is this:
1. Check /var/log/daemon.log, the location where NM logs its messages. Notice
any messages about DBUS not running, as this is commonly the source of the

Opera's ubuntu build requires libaudio.so.2, for which no 32-bit library
is available in feisty on x86_64.
Please add a 32-bit library build for libaudio.so.2 (part of nas, I

My KDE System Settings doesn't allow me to change anything, even as Root
user. I cannot change my resolution nor my colour depth, and trying to
set up two displays is pointless. Anything that I do in here is marked
as "Unable to confirm" or some other error, and the [Accept]

Out of the box, Epiphany handles links and such among different screens
better than Firefox does (e.g., if I have Evolution on one screen and
click a link, and Epiphany is running on anoth

same issue in feisty herd 4. must we punish the masses whilst we work
out the wacom stuff? not only is it cluttering up local log files, but
it's also cluttering up other bug reports, forums and google searches
with lines such as

That was a clear explanation of what was happening. Is there a
workaround for this? If so why shouldn't the workaround be made in the
default installation so that newbies are not put off? Also, why is it
that kdesu needs two instances of sudo?
