Using NDISwrapper as per 6.10 easy guide for broadcom 43XX
everything else more or less standard.
After upgrade to feisty I get the following:

I haven't seen this since disabling the parallel port in the bios, so it
was almost certainly caused by an IRQ conflict. But it does look like a
bug that 90% of the time, IRQs were assigned so the sound card worked,
and the rest it didn't.

okay, it's definitely an issue of privileges. running thunderbird by

I was attempting to verify that Bug #39853 is still present in Feisty
(it is). Due to that installation sequence issue I had to run the
install (sudo apt-get install clamav-docs clamav) twice.

Same problem here (latest Feisty), but 3 WINE-related menu items (they
seem new: Example Scripts, Plugin Directory, and License (which
supposedly opens the license in WINE Notepad, probably to show off their
new wares, but whatever). The other WINE .desktop entries found their
way correctly.
