Have you tried booting first into Windows, then rebooting into Linux
without turning off the power? That works on one of my systems (see bug

Thunderbird's virtual memory size is 98788 on startup. When I click on
"Inbox" at 14:50 it increases to 120m. At 15:50 it is 150m. Some hours
later it is 187m. At this point the computer (with 250 MiB memory) is

Still as soon as NetworkManager starts it gets the wifi in a weird state
and never connects. I have to kill NetworkManager, unload the modules
and reload them to be able to connect manually. Soren, do you have a

Im having the same problem with apt-get removing all gnome packages.
Im using:
Dapper i386 fresh install with package "kubuntu-desktop" installed using
aptitude.
Now im removing all gnome stuff by passing package names as params to

I see what he saying. When you goto Kmenu>Add/Remove Programs. If the
Universe or Multiverse repositories aren't enabled, then you can't
search them. I don't know if I would classify this a bug, or a whishlist

I have got a laptop Prestigio 157. Hibernation works great and suspend-to-ram

not sure what the problem is, but on two different k7 systems with
similar setups, I've tried adding nosmp to the kernel line in grub, and
then the system hangs after local-top has started running. If the nosmp
argument is removed, the system boots properly.

flash drives before continuing.

I am working on getting the server logs and config from IT. In the
meanwhile here are the steps that I use to configure the printer:
1. Click System - Administration - Printing from the top menu bar
2. Double click New Printer icon
3. Select Network Printer (CUPS printer (IPP)) from the

I just upgraded Edgy once more before replying, just in case, but Clearlooks
(the object of this bug) still has the bug.
Out of curiosity I also tried Ubuntulooks which you mentionned, (doesn't seem
to be listed as "Ubuntulooks" anymore BTW, just "Human"), but it also still has
the bug.

I've tried but couldn't confirm this problem with the release version of
ubuntu 6.06. Gerard, could you please confirm that this is fixed in the
