[Ubuntu-BD] GRUB Error 25

I have had a very bitter experience with GRUB Error 25. I had to re-install my Ubuntu 9.04 again. I have been suggested to mount "/home" to a separate partition during this new installation. I have done that. Please suggest me how I can prevent this from happening again? And how does mounting "/

[Ubuntu-BD] Help with ext3

I have assigned about 239GB to my /home partition which is ext3 filesystem. I have heard that ext3 has issues with partitions more than 25GB. I fear that my installation will corrupt again. Can I do anything to stop the oncoming crash ? Do you suggest switching to a better FS? Perhaps like JFS or
