What are the recommended file managers for gnome? I like the Windows's Explorer views. (list view etc) And if good old Norton Commander like File manager is available. If you suggest other desktops like K-desktop etc what is recommended then? uninstall the existing gNome desktop and tools? What

Latest version of Nautilus (Gnome 2.24) have list view option it also supports tabbed browsing, probably not available at 8.04 Gnome commander is a nc like application available at the repository. Also mc (midnight commender) which is terminal based Choose the desktop that fits you the best. and

The list view in my Nautilus 2.22.2 present is pathetic. I like the list view in windows. I'm waiting some hours to let it download the latest updates. Fingers crossed. And I at last made it possible with my Nokia 6020 to have net with CA-42. Still wanting to try the IrDA. 2008/10/5 Tarin Mahmood
