After I ran the updater last week, my computer could only have a Link
Local address for IPv6. I have now confirmed that IPv6 works normally
when I install a fresh copy of 22.04.3 LTS and has the bug even after a
fresh install of 22.04.4 LTS. Previous data and fault finding on
Just ran Ubuntu Updater today. It included a bunch of updates including
Linux Image 3.26 > 3.29. After reboot I now have IPv6 addresses again
and mDNS6 hostnames are correctly working on the local network.

Symptom:
Moving firefox with ongoing video for example Youtube. Moving the firefox
window from screen 2 or 3 to screen1 then it crashes
I tried "bluetoothctl". That's a neat tool that I didn't know about, but
I couldn't find a command that would let me send stuff from my phone
without interaction. I installed bt-obex and tried "bt-obex -s", which
allowed file transfer but I still had to acknowledge each one.

systemd from 229-4ubuntu21.10 to 229-4ubuntu21.15 on many of my

back as "mono" and refuses to use "hi fidelity".
I have Windows 10 installed on the same laptop and when I've used the

I'm the author of a duplicate bug Bug #1868407. Originally had this issue with
5.3.0-42 kernel. Proposed solution of using 5.3.0-43 kernel is wrong. I'm
currently on 5.3.0-45 - still no sound. rolling back to 5.3.0-40 - the last
working version.

Damn, now after nvidia driver update from 440.64 to 440.82 I can longer
use -40 kernel (infinite loop at ubuntu login screen). So I'm stuck with
-46 kernel with no sound. Hope it will be resolved soon.

First of all thanks for the response - the trick with alsa-base.conf worked
fine. Sound is restored. I'm guessing I'll have to edit alsa-base.conf after
every update? If so, is there a more permanent solution?
Also I'm not on 19.10, I'm on 18.04. And what happened with sof-firmware

After the most recent Ubuntu update to kernel 5.3.0-42-generic, built-in sound
card is no longer detected. I have no sound at all. Booting Ubuntu with the
previous kernel 5.3.0-40-generic restores everything to normal (as a temporary
fix I set GRUB_DEFAULT="1>2").

other to be configured. a dpkg --force-configure-any --configure dh-python
