I actually have a fix for this. The reason why the daemon is dying is
because dbus is disabled in avahi and the configuration expects DBUS to
be enabled for status checking. Make sure you have "enable-dbus=yes" in
avahi-daemon.conf :)

This issue is reproducible every time I try.
- Start with two or more files on the desktop
- Drag out a selection area around the files to select them
- Open "Files" file manager
- Drag and drop them to a folder
The drag and drop operation fails and the cursor gets stuck as

(sadly proprietary) source code - before I added ulimit and stripped it
down to the smallest possible code. In both cases the error was a seg-

It looks like /etc/init.d/ondemand doesn't have any support for the
performance governor at all. On systems that only have "performance" and
"powersave" the only thing /etc/init.d/ondemand will do is set the
governor to powersave.

This is due to https://github.com/keithw/mosh/issues/196
Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS has a sufficiently old enough version of mosh that it
is still affected by that bug.
Can this be updated in 12.04 LTS?

install unity8-desktop-session-mir url-dispatcher crashes

I attempted unity 8 because after upstart I have no launcher ,
hud or anything else but nlank screen. I gained access to the system by
creating anew folder, in the center of my screen, using nautilus. Then I
went to /usr/share/applications to use the system.
