So what is the conclusion? mod_jk is in proc or out proc?
BTW I am running apache 1.3 with (mod_jk) Tomcat 3.x and it is working well.

wrong though. I think some of them are smart enough to invoke
Tomcat if it isn't running, but that doesn't mean they are running
in the same process space.
