i found problem with autorespond. Some servers return emails generated
with autorespond. Problem is with generating message-id (code from
autorespond):

date is in 822 format
message-id could be computed a little better*/

Anyone? Any ideas where to look? It is more and more frequent. It as
if the server temporarily fails over smtp. or it doesn't
authenticate. It is doing it quite often and is really annoying.
Everything over the webmail login page works fine.

Maybe you should increase the number of concurrent incoming connections ?

Actually, I did do that a while back. I bumped it from 25 to 50. While
experiencing these problems, I usually have no more thatn 5 or 10
concurrent incoming connections via smtp.

Have you actually seen the attempt to connect to the SMTP port ?
Any device ( external firewall ) or mechanism controlling the access to the
qmail ( ie. IDS ) ?

Pls let me know how I can block gmail forwdarded mails
from my server. Suppose zyxATgmail.com decided to
forward mails to zyxATCompany.address I find it
impossible to block these mails even entries in
badmailfrom i.e; zyxATgmail.com and
