Well,
I am obliged to say "buy a Dell". But actually, we've started configuring
a couple of our notebooks with Redhat, so if you're wanting a notebook on
linux (with hardware and drivers that WORK!!!), then we're a good way to
go. I'm not just saying that because I work here :)

Strange though, I never get an option of what OS to load. If the floppy is
in the drive, it boots up Redhat like it's the only OS on my
licq :) you can snag it at http://www.licq.com

Woohoo, finally a techtalk question I know about :) Not sure if it works
different with different providers, but this is what I did with Roadrunner.
Unplug your cable modem and release all IPs from machines (and make sure
they're all set for DHCP... that was my big boo-boo when I couldn't get it

the subject line of each e-mail? I am stuck with micro$oft products at work
and have to rely on Outlook's ability to sort linuxchix e-mails into their
own folder by subject line :)

Whenever I send binary attachments with elm, they come across as ascii. The
format I'm using is
elm -s [subject] [recipient] < [filename]
I couldn't find anything in the manpage, is there a flag I can use to change
this? Or should I just use a different mailer?
