There is an older MS hardware information utility called MSD that you can
run in DOS mode to find the answer to your question about IRQs. I *think*
you can find it under the "other" directory on WIN95 cd-rom. I have it
here, and can email it to you if you'd like.

sorry 'bout that, I'd meant to include one:

It is based on the Debian distro, but they've added some nifty-looking
utilities for administration etc. Check it out. I downloaded the image of

As a matter of personal preference, I've been very happy with the Memorex

Hi Walt,
There is a utility called "ghost" that is put out by symantec that you can
use to copy your redhat partition from one drive to another. The thing is,
since ghost doesn't recognize non-dos partitions, (at least with version
5.0 which we use) it will copy the whole thing block for block
Let me add to that my own plea; could someone

One thing that comes to mind is: What other processes do you have running
that could be sucking up resources? You can open a terminal window, type: top
and it'll show you a continually refreshing list of the running processes,
how much memory they are utilizing and how much CPU time they are using.
I have Apache web server running on Debian 2.2.9 and my web pages are

for example, if you go to:

you are looking at the index.html under my /var/www directory.
If you go to:

Hello all,
I have what seems like a simple question
what do I do with a .diff file? It is a software patch, but I'm not sure how
to apply it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks everybody,

Thanks, Kelly, that worked.

Having built a number of boxes myself, I have found that this type of

what program are you trying to ./ configure?
Just as a guess, if you are trying to install Apache, then maybe the
command you want is:
./configure --prefix=/etc/httpdor wherever you want Apache to install

hey folks,
Anyone have any tips regarding taking an existing RedHat 6.2 server and
adding a RAID controller to it?
I've got the driver loading (I think) but when I boot, I only see my
original disk. How do I tell RH that there's a whole new giant space that
it can use now?

Just wanted to express thanks for everyone who answered my question about
default umask. Everyone's answers coupled with picking through man pages
and the Web really helped out.
Thanks all! :)

are you trying to have it so that at a higher level, you _can_see
directories, and then turn the ability off for vhosts? My guess is that
the global option where you are allowing Indexes is overriding the vhost
optionTry turning it off in the global option, and see what happens.

hey Michelle,
I just went through this process myself with Redhat.
Check your error_log, and it should give more information
as to why the daemon isn't starting...then we can work from there.

Hmmm, odd. You can also check the ssl_engine_log, if you have one. This
assumes
Openssl with mod_ssl, of course. If you have it, see what it says.
