Hello yet again!
I think I've hit on another solution. The Netscape that currently comes
with RH 6.0 is NOT the most recent available. Since upgrading, the
trouble appears to have gone away.
Oh, and Stephan - use pine for email! It's old and plain, but works
extremely well.

Hello.
I am hoping some of you out there could suggest some websites and/or books
on HTML. I have a good grasp of html basics - I've already designed
several simple web pages. But now I want to learn what fancier options
there are for spiffing up a web page other than using . ;)
Can anyone rec

no, numbers shouldn't pose a problem, in fact a very common way of making
a password harder to crack is to
Hullo again.
In our household we use a cable modem; we get a package deal from our
cable company (MediaOne) for both TV cable and internet access. We pay a
total of $75 per month for both. The cable company also provided us with
a cable modem which we "rent" for a nominal fee that's included in

I have spent the past hour trying to figure out how to give myself more
font options in gimp. Currently I only have 4 fonts. I went to gimp.org
and downloaded a big file of fonts, and I unzipped and untarred it, but I
have no clue where to put it. Do I put it in some .gimp directory? So

Hello.
Does anyone out there have an opinion on Applixware? I am on the hunt for
better wordprocessing software for Linux. Currently, I have Corel
WordPerfect, but it renders the fonts in such an ugly way on screen that
I find it difficult to work with (they print out just fine, though). I

Yes. My first linux installation was a dual-boot using MkLinux. I was
not all that happy with MkLinux -- it had A TON of bugs, and didn't know a
lot of standard linux commands. Getti
Sheesh, I sure hope lurking is ok -- there are lots of us out here.
Though I suspect the bigger danger is that you're about to be scolded for
posting an non-tech related message on the techtalk list. For matters of
etiquette, it may be better to move to another list. :)

Hi.
Under GPL, you ought to be able to use the icons, so long as you make sure
to give credit where credit is due. Find out from the gnome website who's
responsible for designing the icons, if you can, and give them credit. If
you can't determine a specific person, give credit to the gnome pro
Oh, and also, put on your website that you are using the icons under the
GPL!
