The system is up again, but the worrying thing is that we're STILL not sure
what the problem was, other than we know that packets weren't being
forwarded through my Gateway.
All the IP Forwarding indicators were turned on
(/proc/sys/net/ip
My second time trying this, sometimes yahoo doesn't
like my mail lists or the mail lists do not like
yahoo. :)
Thank you all for the help with the FTP server. I
went with proftpd and after a strange quirk with KDE,
it is up and running locally. I did have trouble
after putting it into the DMZ,
I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me so much during my DSL
angst. As it turned out, it wasn't software at all, but a *huge* hardware
problem called my computer.

Thank you for the help on the Apache web thing... what I finally ended up
doing was inputting a directory Alias into either the httpd.conf or
srm.conf... can't remember which... which was probably one of my problems
to begin with... I don't bother to remember this stuff... ah well
