Missed out on the initial thread, sorry. Can you post the serial listings
from dmesg and also what prog's you're using to access the modem.

I'm new to the list (as well to Linux admin), so here goes:
I've beentrying to configure a USR/3Com Courier V.Everything
modem (external). The system seems to be finding it just fine, but
the modem won't respond to commands (ATZ, ATDT, etc.). I don't know
if i
