I am trying to install red hat 6.0 on a Dell dimension pentium
that has a bad internal cd and a good external cd on an adaptec
1542c scsi adapter. When I request an install from a local cd
it only finds the bad internal drive. If I go to expert mode
I can access the SCSI CD but it is the origin
Are any of these Linux/NT installs with the Linux on an external
SCSI Jazz drive? If so I would like to know how you did it. All
the info I found on the web was for internal drives.
It would be great if I could get rid of these floppy boots.

s 95 boot disk and indeed the
proper command to restore a master boot record is: fdisk /mbr

SI drive for my
linux I have given up trying the dual boot root and boot from
a floppy -- what a drag.

use -- click an index item and
it opens the volume and moves directly to the page you want.
It is expensive and I suppose Adobe will sock a charge on to
the licenses when the beta period is over.

This is not a problem running the SuSE modules under RedHat.
SuSE seems to have ncurses.1 while RedHat has libraries for ncurses
3.0 and 4.2.
I would appreciate any help or insight on this problem
