Hey, you know, I just realized that I made the mistake of not completing
the comparison fairly. While everything I said about Linux versus *BSD
stands, people might wonder why choose a *BSD at all?
To the user, there is not really any good reason, unless you have a bunch
of *BSD friends who nag
In terms of major distributions I would divide them into a few

I don't really think it does.
I use Debian mostly because my most handy helper (my husband)
uses Debian.

Thanks, Alex, that was exactly the kind of general overview I was looking
for.
Lilly, comparisons between Linux distributions are somewhat easier to find
(just do a search with your favourite engine for "linux distribution

Hey Julia,
There's nothing wrong with being a NetBSD user. I used to run NetBSD all

Hiya,
On a friends machine, Netscape (various versions of 4.x have been used)
always crashes with an Illegal Instruction...and a core dump. It happened on
with SuSE 6.1, so lasy night, he blew it away and stuck RedHat 6.2 on - and
its still crashing with illegal instruction whenever the netsc
Hi,
I can't get my LS120 to mount under Linux. No problems when running
DOS(4DOS). I have set the floppy options in my BIOS to off. 'dmesg'

I have the following line in fstab. Where /dev/ls120 is a link to
/dev/hdd.
