Despite the transition from internally hosted email, to Zimbra hosted at
Yahoo, to Zimbra hosted at Merit, and now Office365... we still have users
using pine on our public Unix servers to access mail.
Wonder where the pine users will go when they end public Unix access.

household used Eudora until it didn't work on the new version of the

I just figured out that I didn't mention the OS at home. I am running
Windows 7. The version of Eudora is old. I did another look at
eudora.comwhich pointed me to the Open Source edition which states on
the front page
that it is no longer supported by Qualcomm and a try of Thunderbird would
be a ch
I'll chime in that I went from Eudora(Win) -> Eudora(Mac) -> Apple Mail over
the course of 20 years fairly seamlessly.
The OP doesn't mention what platform they're on (or it was later stripped out
in quoting), but that is a wonderful option IMHO.

+1 to Thunderbird. I tend to use Mutt at work, which is great at cutting
through the cruft.

Eudora has been taken obver by I think Mozilla and it is not like the
original.
