Jim setting it to basic your arrow keys will start programs directly. You need to set your arrow keys up in the Settings when in basic mode. Also accessing the menu is easy! You just press the talks key twice. This is the same regardless of how you have it set Basic or horizontal. Yes the N8

Hi. Ok the cover of the n86 difficult to take off for a reason, and that reason is it holds the memory card in place. turn the phone over in your hand so the back is facing up towards the ceiling and the camera is furthest away from you. The lower half of the cover is flat below the lens slider.
