The volume being lower more then likely may be the tts and not Talks
itself. I've not seam this when using the US version of Eloquence the 125
build with out the dictionary.

The files on the Talk Nav site are not in zip file format. Sounds like you
got the file from the blind sea site. In that case the file is not a file
but a folder. Unzip that then go into that folder and you will find all the
talks files: the talks file, all 3 eloquence files, the vocalizer files
phone.
Hardware eventually fails, software eventually works.
No amount of bandwidth can fix poor design.

can also try downloading the latest Talks file from the blind sea web site
under the mobile screen reader link and see if you have any better results.
