The volume being lower more then likely may be the tts and not Talks itself. I've not seam this when using the US version of Eloquence the 125 build with out the dictionary.

When you play a music track using the music player the latest talks speaks the seconds elapsed for the first 4 seconds or so then shuts up. this was One of the reasons apart from the volume level being lower I did not install the latest talks on my second e72 running old firmware. I can now use bluetooth with wifi again. It's very odd that nokia stopped users from doing that in the latest firmware.
