the E5 has some sort of overdriven combination compressor expander at
the top two clicks of volume. this isn't just Talks. If you play a
podcast at max volume on the internal speaker, you would ntoice that

1. the sound quality of talks is not that good. i have gone from an older e65
to this handset and am disappointed in sound quality. i have the most recent
versions of talks and elequonce installed and the 16k version of elequonce is
