Weird! Was it really loud as well? My fone rang by playing a song really loudly
once, and wouldn't shut up. I had to take the battery off then too. That was
years ago though, on a Nokia N-gage!
No solutions, other than gremlins! LOL!

Something like that. I believe you may be able to switch it off in settings,

Hi Eleanor,
May I step in here.
I love the N8 but to be honest, I'm having real problems texting.
The problem I'm having is that keys seem to be pressed that I haven't
meant to press so my texts are basically gobbledey gook.
It also means that I am texting very slowly whereas when I had my N97
but however, if you are comfortably using the N97, i think the upgrade model
for you should be E7. E7 using slide out qwerty
keyboard simmelar to the N97, but it has a newer type of LCD, it should be
easier for you to switch over. more important is, talks

Thanks Alan. My mistake is due to me not being able to hear the distinction on
my phone with Talks between n and M. I have to listen very hard when using
numeric keypad. I take on board what you say but you have not said if the
technology for touch screen is the same for N 8 and N 97 Mini.

i dont think so, but why you have to do so? the capacitive LCD is suitable for
us with finger touch and if you need a less sensitive
LCD, you should use older type of LCD e.g. nokia C6-00.

hi Eleanor,
some correction, it is N97, not M97.
ok, to answer to your question, technically, there are 2 different type of LCD
for mobile phone, 1 the older is call resistive LCD

Hi,
Firstly, no, the music wouldn't stop by pressing key 2.
What I meant by Cut and Paste was that I connected my phone to the PC with a
USB cable and then copied certain music tracks across onto my memory card.

Not Alan but what do you mean by cut and paste on to your phone? Do you mean
what you transferred to your phone, using USB cable, bluetooth or via PC Suite?
Can you not exit the music by pressing soft key 2?
