Why don't you just turn off the keypad lock when in that program. There are software packages where you can tell it when i'm in this program, do not lock the keypad. I think the makers of RemindMe makes a free package you can install on your phone to do this. You can find the link on the blind s

I must admit that when I installed Talks on my N96, the upgrade the phone stopped talking too but turning it off and on again brought Talks up fine. I believe it is recommended to have Talks installed on the phone memory but cannot advise about the talks on the memory card too. all I know there
