You may not be able to access your hotmail email on the phone. IF you have a google email address and you have internet access then you may be able to access that account on the phone. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adrien Collins" <adriencollins22...@googlemail.com> To: "'Talks Mailing List'" <talks@talksusers.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2011 12:59 PM Subject: Re: [Talks] Setting up an e-mail account on my phone
Hi Eleanor No I have been through all the settings, there are several things I can't do, I am wondering if it is a geographic block on my phone, I cannot install the up-dates and various other functions don't work because I am in France. Someone did tell me that I would never be able to up-grade the phone because I am not in the uk. One of these days I will come to the uk and find out for sure. As for the e-mail, my google and yahoo are pop3, they can be set up as imap as well. As for hotmail, that is pop3 on the pc but I don't know what it is on the phone. I have all my accounts on the pc as pop3. You mention your e-mail account but I am not good at these tyjpe of things, is your e-mail account a pop3 one? If yes, you should be able to set it up. I have heard of hotmail accounts on mobile phones but again I heard that there is a charge for this on a mobjile phone but of course stand corrected by other members of the list. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adrien Collins" <adriencollins22...@googlemail.com> To: "'Talks Mailing List'" <talks@talksusers.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2011 2:02 PM Subject: [Talks] Setting up an e-mail account on my phone > Hi > > The other day I tried to set-up an e-mail account on my > phone, I tried using my hotmail account which is France of > course but when it said validating account, nothing > happened, I tried a few times but I had the same result.
