You need to first press the Talks button (the edit key?) and then press the
up arrow key.

I think the date is correct, because it is used by sighted people before.
Also the stuff around the licence is set to all licence.
i can wait until eyes in the evening, but i\m not so patient!!

For the very first time, the answer is no. The reason why is you need to set
the date on the phone and you will not be able to do that with no sight on a
touch screen phone with no screen reader running.
Produced on a Nokia N95 smart phone using a Symbian based screen reader.

I used this earlier in the year with a corporate exchange server and with
Talks 5 and had no problems with it. I don't use it now as I've moved
e-mail provider, but I don't remember my having any issues with it related
to accessibility and Talks.

The N86 is different. The first time you use this on the N86 you must do the
