Hi,
You are right Andy, it depends a lot about the use case problem you are
trying to fix.
Let's say they are two use cases:
The first one is about creating polygons from administrative boundaries

According to Wikipedia, an animal sanctuary "is a facility where animals are
brought to live and be protected for the rest of their lives. Unlike animal

Hello
Thank you all for your feedback on this proposal so far.
I'm wondering whether central banks should be included or excluded
from landuse=governmental. Actually, a central bank isn't a part of
the government, but is a governmental institution. However, it belongs
to the core of the state and
Sorry that I enter the discussion late.
First, is my understanding correct that you want to add a tag on a
highway that has embedded tram rails? So e.g. a bicycle router might
avoid such highways?
Generally a good idea, I think. However to use railway=separately_mapped

Hmm, if someone want to do something with the railway key, they will look at

Hi,
this is my first message to the mailing list, so bear with me if this is
not the correct way for suggesting something like this. I'd like to make
a change to the Wiki but wanted to get your opinions first. Many (most?)

I am not 100% sure that mobile payment is the correct term, that to me implies
using your phone for contactless payment.
The English term used in these cases is Pay by Phone.
Here payment can be made using coins, debit/credit cards (contactless or chip
and pin) so I must admit I have ignored th

Yes, but this makes it far harder for a standard mapper to do QA - they now
need to create the convoluted set of requests and filters I mentioned in

Correct: it very much depends and vary from state to state: Italy's central
bank, Bank of Italy, is not a goverenmental institution (/it has
shareholders.../), and the same is true (/afaik, but haven't checked/) for the
US Federal Reserve Bank...

Maybe I'd love it even better if it would be: "surface:embedded
rails=tram|railway"
