Hi,
Sean Blaschke, from UNICEF and myself created a page for Pitlatrine. There
must be hundreds of millions of these around the globe, and during
waterhacking day today, we found a Ugandan team building a management
application for them.
Using OSM as a store for these kind of applications seem
Hi,
Sean Blaschke and myself also created a page for sceptic_tank. You dont want
to fall into one, so mapping them seems like a good idea.
Also, some of them can be emptied, which calls for mapping too.

I would suggest to use it in a subtag-way instead of the flags way:
toilets=pitlatrine

P.S.: I'll add that to the talk page, too

Page renamed to Tag:amenity=*
Page renamed to =septic_tank.
However, I don't like how you're polluting the main namespace of the wiki. You
should make your proposals

Yes, I think that is better. It helps to classify it by function, and

I get the impression that "amenity" is something people use directly,
and that this should be "man_made=septic_tank" as it is a piece of
behind-the-scenes equipment. What's connected to it might well be
"amenity=toilets", however.
