As far as I know there is no tool that converts HTML or .Doc file to a OSIS
bible.
So using the HTML to convert to a .txt file caused the italics to disappear,
but I'm putting them all back in.
As I was fixing the RED letters I noticed the lack of tags as well, but
these are all fixed now.

Hello,
I received a reply back from Paul today and he said that the RED Letters
were okay to use.
All I know is that the 2004 Emtv module at Sword right now has red lettering
so I continued to use it. But I have removed the RED letters of Mark 1:11
because it was not Jesus speaking.
Also that h

Okay,
The old EMTV of 2004, the one I'm updating had the RED letters already
that's why I continued to use them.
Also, I can e-mail Paul and ask what he would like.

Yes,
I've fixed the RED letter issue as well.
I think that sword has the ability to display red letters so we should use
it, even when the source doesn’t have it.
Chris,
I e-mailed and talked to Paul directly and received permission to update and
resubmit back to sword for redistribution.

Hello,
As I was updating the EMTV Module I put a cross Reference in a note, but in
doing this I discovered that it only handles one verse at a time, for
example I added a Translators note at the beginning of Mathew which looked
like this:
~"as a result of his work, and the work of others, John 7:
I've updated the .conf file and all the other error's too.
I'm also updating the whole EMTV module and as of right now I'm 70% done.

You can always compile it your self from here:
http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/Tutorial:Compiling_%26_Installing_SWORD
and here:
http://devel.bibletime.info/wiki/BuildingBibleTime
IIRC the latest API is sword 1.6.2 which includes libsword6 and the latest
Bibletime 2.8.1 only requires sword 1.6.0
I've seen this before,
I've made a new EMTV module and there were no headings or titles in the old
EMTV module.
So in making a new module and adding headings or titles I was making mistakes
because I didn't know how to do it.
So, I read through the osis2mod.cpp REV. 2562 to see how it was supp

The KJV and NRSV versification scheme's are the only ones that work just for
the New Testament, every thing works well except for Rom 14:24-26.
So what needs to be done to v11n in order to display Rom 14:24-26 instead of
appending them to verse 23? just having someone add it to the engine will w
Hello,
I'm working with the Majority Text in the EMTV New Testament fixing all the
various error's and adding topical verse titles and notes.
Romans 14:24-26 is included in the MT but not in the KJV and when running
osis2mod verses 24-26 are appended to verse 23.
I've read the wiki but it does
Hello,
I just discovered that when you use osis2mod that it does not reproduce the
osis schema properly.
I know this because I made a brand new clean osis.xml and added some basic
markups then I used the osis2mod and it was not reproducing the the schema
properly so I tested it by using a know
Solved
It turns out that r2558 was calling for icu-4.2 but I also had icu-4.4 which I
got from the MIB backports.
So I removed the MIB icu-4.4 and every thing works now.
Thanks

The error lies in the mod2osis and how it renders the .xml
I've modified the mod2osis to reproduce a valid osis.xml using the EMTV bible
but when I use it for the KJV I get the following:
kjv.xml:33566: parser error : Opening and ending tag mismatch: chapter line

Sorry for taking so long.
Well, with the help of Manfred I made a little progress but I'm stuck at
compiling mod2osis.cpp
I was using this code for mod2osis: # ~/mod2osis EMTV > emtv.xml
From what I can tell and doing a little research is that the error's I found
are:

So what your saying is that even their plain osis.xml files are passed through
some Zefania format?
The emtv bible I converted works just fine in my bibetime?

I think everyone here is pretty well aware of Zefania. We're also aware
that their content is lifted from other software (ch
Just to let you guys know that since mod2osis is dysfunctional and unusable I
found a web site that has osis.xml modules already made to the osis format that
are ready to be converted.
So I download the emtv bible and fixed the error I found and converted it to a
module using osis2mod, every th
Sorry about the attachment, it was only 1.8MB and I was not aware of the
90KB limit.
But any way, It's obvious that mod2osis is inadequate to produce a
proper formatted osis.xml file, here is an example.
Please advice on my options to correctly produce a osis.xml file from a
