One thing that really threw me this morning was the lack of t_check_status in
the modules documentation. Apparently it is still there and works, just
completely undocumented. Once I realized it was still there I just went back to
the 1.5 docs and was good, but just thought I should point this o

I want kamailio to authenticate itself to a host if it is sent a 401, just as
that host is expected to authenticate if kamailio sends it one. I am not
finding much in the online probably because I am not searching for the right
terms. Does anyone have any experience in this?
Thanks!

I think what I am going to do is use a combination of:
1. Whitelist my gateway IPs.
2. Any initial INVITES from non-gateway IPs will be authorized and the dialog
be added to a simple htable based on callid
3. Any in-dialog will do a lookup on the htable so that authorization isn't

As I look and play with loose_route functionality it seems that by simply
placing a route: proxyip;lr header in my invite I can bypass any and all

We have enum records where 0123456789 points to 0123456...@domain.tld. And then
multiple SRV records pointing to the actual hosts; _sip._udp SRV record for

In our config we run is_from_user_enum, which up until add

Once I commented out the 3 lines below it works fine to failover.

if(t_any_timeout()){
xlog(" TIMEOUT!\n");
# append_branch();
# xlog(" host is now $rd; all is $ru\n");
No, I do not have an outbound proxy set.

Sorry all for the second question of the night as I go through working out bugs
in my setup. I want to use SRV records to loadbalance across hosts. This works
great, when all the hosts listed in the SRV are up. However, I want kamailio to
use the next host if the current hosts fails. I tried ju
Hello all, I have seen some other complaining about this issue, but the posts
