I have a softswitch that is requiring me to do that unless I put a static ip in 
for the trunk group, If I have to do a static IP, thats not the end of the 
world, but I'd like to keep it hostname based.

I have never seen this done anywhere on any SIP stack, though I am not sure 
that it is against the standard.
