Thank you to everyone who helped with this. I have gotten a system to
function very well, mail is moving through very quickly and seems to be
doing its job. I do however have a couple of problems.

Nothing! The bigger question is how are you getting the mail to spamassassin
and what are you doing with the output?

I am making this way harder than it seems however, I am not sure where I went wrong.

Could you be a little more specific about what you need and are trying
to accomplish (i.e. relay, local delivery, etc.)?
I assume that since you're using RH, that you're using sendmail and
procmail?
