I'm new to the list and new to spamassassin. I'm
very excited to start playing with it. We have several people that get over 100
spams a day and are begging for a workable solution.
I need some help getting spamassassin going on our
webserver.

/root/.spamassassin is only relevant for mail delivered to root. The
important stuff is in /etc/mail/spamassassin (and possibly
/usr/share/spamassassin depending on your installation).

The rule
Im currently running mailscanner(latest version) and latest 2.0+ code of
spamassassin. Im not sure if i have something configured wronge. Basically i
have /root/.spamassassin/user_prefs which has one thing defined (required
hits) and i have that set to 7. Then in etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf i
