I still have not been able to get spam
assassin running on my machine.
What I have tried so far is as follows,
/etc/default/spamassassin
# Change to one to enable spamd
ENABLED=1

I am working on getting spamassassin to work
with qmail and vpopmail on debian 3.0.
The steps I have taken so far were,
1. apt-get install spamassassin
2. edited /etc/default/spamassassin as follows
ENABLED=1
OPTIONS="-v -u vpopmail -m 50 -c"
So use vpopmail config with user
