Qmailscanner (http://qmail-scanner.sourceforge.net/) does this. You
can configure any kind of stripping complete with explanations in the
return... Qmailscanner works with spamd to spam-check the emails
flowing through the system...
It's currently the only way I know how to run SA in an
y opt-in would have to be from the parents approving the
delivery of NONFILTERED emails.

In a school, I don't believe there should be any privacy for email
toward students... it's not "their" account.

Has anyone ever considered setting up a CVS site for the RULES only ?
That might be worth it... a CVS update with a script that allowed us to
rollback to a previous rule level, but all the while maintaining the
newest set of rules for the whole kit-n-kaboodle of spam/mers

How long do you think it will be until users of SA face the same
consequences as the now infamous ORBZ case ?
I'm sure that some lawyer out there could find a way to sue someone for
running this package.

If it'd be the same subject all the time, you could weight that subject
with a really big negative number in the rules and then SA will pass it
through...

The problem with this approach is that some of us deal with clueless
people, and the even more clueless Exchange Server which hides all
internet headers when reading the message in Outlook.
Teaching people (and getting them to remember it) about clicking the
View menu / options to even SEE the
I realize there's a fix in the works for the problem with the report
being only in the header when the spam in question is MIME encoded.
I noticed that the CVS comments said that the tests were broken by the
addition of the fix and that it was rolled back.
Any clue when it'll be released with

Have you gotten any response to your email (attached below for
reference) ? I'm interested in BOTH options.
